Brian Horay

Director

A Clevelander by birth and Portlander by choice, Brian moved to Oregon to pursue a master’s degree in art therapy. After graduating from Marylhurst University in 2004, he went on to work as a mental health and addictions counselor for half a decade.

He is the proud creator of the Classical Beaver – a completely unauthorized blog devoted to the Oregon Symphony. A relatively recent convert to classical music, Brian’s obsession with our hometown orchestra is rivaled only by his passion for 89.9.

When he’s not at New Seasons Market schlepping produce, Brian is probably painting, cooking, or reading in the beautiful Mt. Scott-Arleta neighborhood, sharing a solid mid-century home with four chickens, two cats, and one husband.
