John Schumann

Secretary

John is a nationally recognized rail transit authority whose experience of 30+ years includes a variety of transit system technologies and applications in more than 30 cities throughout the United States and other countries. A Senior Transportation Consultant with LTK Engineering Services, he is a member of the light rail transit committees of the Transportation Research Board (past chair), and the American Public Transit Association (secretary), and chaired their joint national conference, held in Portland in 2003. John is a classical music lover, advocate and supporter who serves on the board of Portland’s Choral Arts Ensemble. A broadcaster and radio station manager during his college years, John holds a BA in Business Administration and an MS in Civil Engineering.
