Fall 2014 Radio Intern

Over a 2-3 month period the intern will spend between 10 and 12 hours weekly assisting station staff with a broad variety of tasks related to broadcasting processes and procedures. The intern will have opportunities to work collaboratively with every department at the station.
- Writing, editing, and audio production
- Data entry
- Facility maintenance
- Web and new media projects
- Assist volunteers
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned pertaining to membership drives and station events
The KQAC intern will find themselves up close and personal with a full-time, listener-supported, classical music broadcasting operation. The astute intern will find multiple opportunities to experience and understand the art and science of making radio.
The most critical traits for the KQAC intern are computer literacy, good communication and writing skills, excellent people and customer service skills, ability to work independently, knowledge of classical music, interest in the medium of radio, and involvement and interest in the cultural community. Intellectual curiosity, reliability, integrity, teachability, consistency and attention to detail are additional desirable traits.
Any current college student or recent college grad is welcome to apply. The ideal candidate will show an area of focus in one of the following areas:

- Liberal Arts
- Fine Arts
