We are in Kandapola, Sri Lanka, and you are coming in loud and clear on my netbook with auxiliary speakers. Wonderful! --Lynn & Mickey, Lake Oswego
Hi Christa. I'm impressed you're so on top of your e-mail and that you've taken the time to respond. It's what I appreciate about this "small" town. And All Classical has become my station of choice, btw. NPR is now a distant second. I find that being well-informed is less desirable than exposing oneself to beauty in all its forms. Thanks for your programming! Take good care, --Glenn
Greetings from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Sky is blue, sun is warm, cerveza is cold, All Classical loud and clear. Life is good. --Louis
Just want to say thank you for the wonderful upbeat music this dreary afternoon. I really appreciate it. Thanks again --Ann
Thank you so much for your generous gift of two tickets to Oregon Symphony’s Haydn Creation concert on Sunday night. My guest and I were overwhelmed to enjoy front row center seats and, days later, we’re still affected by the outstanding performance of those gifted masters. I have channeled my passions into a poem, which is my way of processing great emotional events in life. --Sincerely, Ed, Hillsboro
We enjoy listening to the station and joined as members recently. In December we visited our daughter who was studying in Ferrara, Italy. We greatly enjoyed spending Christmas in Italy. But, we did keep one foot back in Portland. Each day we played the station using the internet, and your music filled our apartment. We were particularly glad to be able to enjoy the Festival of Carols, despite being so far away. --Steve, Portland
Thank you very much for playing the Tannhauser Overture today. My husband and I are recent Wagnerphiles, and all classical is the only station we listen to (new members this year). It is wonderful to hear Wagner outside of the opera program. Thank you so much for enriching the community in such an important way! --Jennifer, Portland
I just emailed to say I’m a 19 year old student from University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa that loves classical music while I study for university exams. I’m a big fan of this site! We young music lovers are a dying breed. Don’t quit on us! If you want requests I’d love to hear Por Ti Volare or anything Bach! --Cheers, Matt
What a beautiful program you had this morning. The Brahms was the most gorgeous recording. I could hear every part distinctly. I felt that I was there in the hall. --Thanks. Peggy
Just want to say thanks for adding a McMinnville station translator. We have struggled to get a decent signal out of Portland. The McMinnville station comes in wonderfully. We also get KWAX out of Eugene, but prefer your programming most of the time. Thanks to the addition of the AllClassical McMinnville station, we now have you on all the time! --Roger, McMinnville
Hello Portland. My husband and I are in Sumy, Ukraine, for a few years. We just logged onto your website. It is good to hear the sounds of home. Thank you for the music. --Kathryn
Hi from Cape Town, South Africa. We are enjoying your festival of carols, which we are hearing in the middle of the night in the middle of summer (no frost here!). --Regards, John and Wanda
We're loving Festival of Carols! Please thank everyone involved in this decision. Robert McBride or whoever does the programming, as well as the hosts for the different programs. The music is superb, as are the selections. This is one reason I'm a member. --Peace, Satya
I wanted to say thank you and that I am truly enjoying the Festival of Carols. Such a refreshing change from the usual radio station holiday music (my left eye is starting to twitch when I hear Feliz Navidad, etc., although I still like Sinatra and the big band sound - LOL). Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and that the new year brings you happiness and peace. --Susanna
I just wanted to write to say THANK YOU to all of the people that are able to and choose to support our radio station. We are currently unable to contribute, but can't wait for the day that I can. As I am typing this, my 18 mo old daughter is dancing to the beautiful music playing and my two older children love the station too. Again, thank you SO MUCH to the people that contribute so that we can continue to listen to the wonderful music played on this station. --Vicki
I just received my Comfort and Joy CD and wanted to thank you for such a beautiful collection of holiday music. In particular, I enjoyed Jesus Christ the Apple Tree, which is relatively unfamiliar to most of us. It brought back warm memories of my time singing in an American Women’s Choir in Lausanne, Switzerland, during the 80s. This choir was largely made up of British women and at the insistence of one choir member: we sang this hymn at one of our Christmas concerts there. Thank you. --Sara
I have to stop listening to Afternoons with Robert McBride. It's costing me money. It's good news for Classical Millennium, though. Yesterday I had to buy the I Musici CD that includes Fantasia on Arias from La Traviata, and I'm on the phone now ordering the album that includes Stephen Hough's Three Mozart Transformations After Poulenc. Love my station! –Marcia
I love your selection of music - I am never disappointed with any of the music that you broadcast and I think that is an amazing feat. Of the dozen or so streams I listen to, yours is my favorite. You guys are doing an amazing job and I want to let you know how much it is appreciated. My best wishes. --Col Madden, Canberra (Australia)
I love the revolver. It reminds me that you are an internationally supported classical music station and it thrills me to realize that there is someone in India, Brazil, and Sweden enjoying the same music as I, at the same time. We are a community. Thank you for the revolver and the music. --Sheila
Although it's not springtime here in Ulaangom, western Mongolia, (currently minus twenty with the sun just rising) the music is certainly brightening things up. I'm a Portland chef on a sausage making teaching project for Mercy Corps. I can't tell you folks how much I value the hour or so each morning when I stream All Classical as I do my writing before starting my work day here. A true treat. Thanks so much & all the best to you folks. --Greg Higgins
Hello Portland. I just want to thank you for the wonderful streaming radio service. I live in Denmark and am writing a novel about the Danish Queen Margrete (1353 – 1412). Your music inspires me a lot! Thank you Oregon. --Yours Flemming
Kia ora from New Zealand. I am a subscriber and am listening to you down here. It is wonderful to hear our orchestra playing on your station. The reception quality is perfect. It is 2.40 pm on Saturday afternoon, so I am listening while enjoying our spring garden. Thanks for the pleasure you bring to us. It is very much appreciated. --John
I live in Princeton, NJ, and I work at home as a jeweler. I always listen to music while working because it helps me to concentrate. More and more I have been logging on to your station and listening to the streaming broadcast. Today I was treated to Bachianas Brasileras! And that Scheherazade you played a couple of weeks ago was a fabulous recording which I then purchased. I like to support my local station, but I am going to be donating to your station instead. Thank you for everything. --Nancy
Aloha Christa! I moved from Portland to Hawaii a few months ago and am happy that you made the trip with me. I imagine that your melodies ride the waves across the Pacific, from the Oregon Coast to Oahu. We have fond memories of gardening in our Portland garden with your music and even of painting our garage during Edmond’s film music programs. Mahalo to all of you at All Classical, for the Aloha you bring us. --Pearl
Thank you so much for this station! My four-month-old loves it! I randomly turned it on one day and he was cooing along. We play it all the time for him now, and you should see his face light up! He is currently being put to sleep by it in his nursery. So calming, and I really enjoy it, too! --Teri, Depot Bay, Oregon
You are coming in loud and clear here in Johannesburg. We'll see in a couple of days whether you can be heard in the wilds of Namibia! Keep up the good work. --Doug, Vancouver, WA
I drive my 6 and 8 year old boys to school 4 days a week. During our 10-minute ride, I always have the radio tuned to 89.9. On our ride today, Brandi and John were discussing sustaining memberships. My 8-year-old said to me, “Dad, we should be sustaining members since we always listen to this station.” It brought a smile to my face when I said, “We are.” Both boys were very excited to find out that we help support 89.9. Keep up the good work. --Daniel
Thank you for being my haven during the day. I always try to pledge my age. Since the fall drives happen around my birthday, it’s a present I give myself. My son and I listen together, and I’m planning on surprising him with tickets to Lord of the Rings.--Bonnie
Please pass along my musical thanks to Andrea Murray and her very early morning program. When I need to get into the office and get a head start on the day, my friends in Portland are there with inspirational music and a friendly voice! Great job. --Jeff, Lincoln Nebraska
