Drawn from the principal players of the most recorded orchestra in history, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble was created in 1967 to perform larger chamber work gems — from quintets to octets — with players who routinely work together, instead of the usual string quartet with additional guests.
“The sound of a chamber orchestra . . . the polish of a string quartet . . . sparkling.” Milwaukee Sentinel
