The Dairyville Players perform under the direction of Dennis Britten, with musical direction of Bernd R. Kuehn, conductor of the Oregon Chorale. In addition to this presentation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s first successful comic opera, a spoof on the judicial system with breach of marriage as the centerpiece, the company will also offer Cox and Box, a comic one-act opera with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by F.C. Bernand instead of W.S. Gilbert. In the second work, a landlord rents an apartment to two men without either of them knowing it, since one works nights and the other days. Proceeds from this performance will support improvements to the Arts Center.
