In Mulieribus: Nowell Syng We – Songs and Carols from Medieval England, December 20 & 22

In Mulieribus (the Latin phrase meaning “amongst women”) is an eight-member female vocal ensemble dedicated to the promotion and enrichment of community through the art of music with a focus on works written primarily before 1750, Anna Song, artistic director and conductor.
As part of our 2013-2014 season focusing on the music of Britain, Nowell Syng We is a jubilant concert of Advent and Christmas carols and songs from the 14th and 15th centuries, drawn from the English Selden carol book and the Ritson manuscript, among other sources. We are excited to present the world premiere of our new commission, Cum natus esset Iesus, by the celebrated British composer Ivan Moody.
Program repeats December 22, 7:00 PM at St Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2408 SE 16th Ave, Portland, 97214. Tickets available at boxofficetickets.
