Portland Parks & Recreation’s Multnomah Arts Center Gallery hosts “The Active Imagination,” an exhibit of artwork by MAC young artists. The students, ages 18 months to 18 years, display photography, mixed media, and both three- and two-dimensional artwork. This multi-media exhibit emphasizes the value of art education for all children and encourages support for high quality art programs. An opening reception occurs Friday, May 2, from 5 p.m. to 7p.m., with refreshments and art-making activity for all ages. The exhibit itself runs through June 3. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
