From Barcelona, Marina Albero played early and traditional music with her family. As a teenager, she went to Cuba to finish her piano degree, and Albero’s compositions have a touch of flamenco rhythms and classical influences. This program takes the audience on a journey in which music, history and poetry share the same path to illustrate a landscape of flavors, scents and sounds as interpreted on piano and hammered dulcimer. There will be a potluck at 6:30 p.m.; all are invited. This event will be held in a home in Southeast Portland that has hosted over one hundred shows in the last five years. The concert will be broadcast live via Concert Window . For questions, directions and to reserve seating, email Abbie Weisenbloom: firstname.lastname@example.org.
