The Oregon Mandolin Orchestra is the only one of its kind in Oregon. It’s modeled after the traditional mandolin orchestras, popular in the United States before the turn of the 20th century. The orchestra consists of mandolins, mandolas, mandocellos, mandobass, and a variety of accompanying instruments. Mandolinist Evan Marshall and his amazing duo-style technique also featured. The Orchestra, led by Brian Oberlin, plays classics by Strauss, Bach, Faure, Lavry and features solos, duos, and trios of swing and American fiddle tunes. Beer, wine, pizza and concessions available in lobby before the show and during intermission from local favorite Earth Oven Pizza.
Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 day of show, available at Brown Paper Tickets or call the box office at 503-615-3485.
