The ensemble presents the chamber music of Jean-Philippe Rameau, with poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke read by Brian Myers. Rameau’s Pièces de clavecin en concerts, published in 1741, are virtuoso harpsichord works with florid accompaniment by the violin and viola da gamba. In this program, Wildwood Consort merges Rameau’s evocative music with the thoughts, feelings and passions of the poet Rainer Maria Rilke. Performance takes place in the third floor Collins Gallery. Seating is first come, first served.
