Volunteer

Contribute to All Classical 89.9 another way . . . volunteer! It is a chance for you to meet new people, have fun, see 89.9 from the inside and help us be the best we can be!

Some assignments require a regular ongoing commitment, once a week or once a month; other opportunities are assigned when special needs arise such as Pledge Drives.

Volunteer Opportunities

Event Table Staff
Staffs tables at performances to increase visibility for 89.9. Encourage patrons to learn more about the station; attend concerts free. This is a very visible assignment for volunteers who enjoy talking with people and can handle the flurries of activity before and after the shows and at intermissions. Two volunteers are needed at each performance. Perfect for friends or couples. A car and the ability to lift event materials is required.

Fundraising Support
Every contribution we receive by mail or on the internet is another step toward our goal of being the best classical music station on the airwaves. Please consider donating a few hours of your time working with the Development Staff with mailings or data entry.

Pledge Drive Volunteers
Pledge drive volunteers are needed to answer phones and record pledges. This position can be so much fun that we have volunteers who return as regulars. Meet the All Classical 89.9 staff, some of our special guests, other volunteers and music lovers. The fun starts early mornings and continues in short shifts through the evenings (and we provide an assortment of edibles to help everyone along). Requires a flexible and friendly attitude. Good penmanship is a must. Our next Pledge Drive will be in Fall 2007.

As-Needed Volunteers
We're developing a list of volunteers who can only be available every now and then, and occasionally, at the last minute. Odd one-time tasks often crop up, so these volunteers help cover those temporary needs. Let us know what your job preferences are, what types of assignments you want or inform us of a special skill you might contribute to the station and we'll contact you when you're needed. If you're available when we call, that'll be great; if not, there'll always be a next time! This gives us your permission to call and ask but places you under no obligation to say yes.

Corporate Support Volunteer Help
Our underwriting department needs a volunteer to help with routine tasks, 10-12 hours per week, flexible hours. Requirements include dependability, flexibility, attention to detail and some graphic design experience. Contact Eric Behny at 503-802-9417.
