About Played in Oregon:
This weekly, one-hour program celebrates the classical music scene in Oregon, featuring concerts by local ensembles and soloists and by musicians visiting from around the world. It's one of the ways we enjoy being a part of the region's vibrant arts community.
Sometimes the show will feature a new Oregon-bred CD or a local composer. Interviews with the musicians are included occasionally, and now and then we venture beyond the borders of the state. From the intimacy of a classical guitar to the grandeur of a symphony orchestra, it's all on Played in Oregon. The program has won two international awards, in 2003 and 2006. You can hear it most Sundays at 5pm.
