Download Helper Programs
Windows Computer Users
To hear the high-fidelity 64K stream with a Windows computer, a free helper program from Abacast will first be automatically downloaded and installed in your computer. It helps prevent sound dropouts when listening to the stream for extended periods of time. This program is free of any spy-ware or ad-ware, though it might use some of your available upstream bandwidth while you are playing our stream.
Please be patient while this small program is downloaded to your computer. Windows will display a pop-up asking your permission to install the program. If the program does not download or install automatically, you can initiate installation below.

Macintosh and iTunes Listeners
To hear the recommended high-fidelity 64K stream or the standard 32K stream, you must first download and install on your computer a small, free program called Flip4Mac. This program allows the stream to play in your iTunes or QuickTime player. Download the program, then install it. You will then be able to listen to the streams.
Windows, Mac and other computer users can also listen by clicking on our 32K mp3 stream above.

All Classical SPOTLIGHT
Music for July 4th
Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, picnics and parades, but music-making is at the top of our list this Saturday. Sprinkled throughout the day are familiar tunes by Peter Schickele, George Gershwin, Amy Beach and others. Also, enjoy incredible singing by Austin-based Conspirare on First Impressions at 3 p.m., along with more American music on The Score, Chicago Symphony and Club Mod.
From all of us at All Classical, have a lovely holiday.
Portland Opera Encores
Beginning this Saturday morning at 10 a.m., enjoy encores of five recent Portland Opera productions. Starting with Verdi's La Traviata and ending with Verdi's Rigoletto on August 1, here's your chance to acquaint yourself with our own local opera company before the next season begins. Read introductions to the acts on Pat McElroy's blog each Saturday morning before the opera begins.
Start Your Weekend Right
Chamber Music Northwest introduced their new Downtown Friday series last week to an enthusiastic audience, and they're doing it again this Friday evening, July 3, @ 7. From Bernstein to Banjos plays at the Armory in the Gerding Theatre and features an all-American program for Independence Day.
