The Ensemble, with Artistic Director Patrick McDonough, continues its season with an offering of a cappella Christmas music from the past century, including works by Benjamin Britten, born a hundred years ago. Other selections include compositions by contemporary composers as well as pieces written by Kenneth Leighton, Peter Warlock, and Herbert Howells. The concert also celebrates release of the group’s first compact disc, A Spotlesss Rose. Two performances: 8 p.m. on Dec. 28 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Vancouver, and 3 p.m. on Dec. 29 at Saint Stephen Catholic Church in Portland. Tickets and details at The Ensemble.
