The next theatrical simulcast from the Metropolitan Opera is Shostakovitch’s The Nose, based on the short story by Nikolai Gogol in which a bureaucrat’s proboscis leaves his face and takes on a life of its own. Paulo Szot reprises his acclaimed performance in William Kentridge’s inventive production. Pavel Smelkov conducts. The curtain rises at 9:55 a.m. on Oct. 26.
