On the next Thursdays @ Three, host Robert McBride welcomes mezzo soprano Rebecca Sacks and soprano Jocelyn Claire Thomas. Sacks is known for her dynamic stage presence, smart musicality, and stylistic versatility, performing opera and concert repertoire in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California. She recently was chosen as a Promising Young Artist of the 21st Century and traveled with a group of singers to Costa Rica where they gave several concerts throughout the country. Thomas, praised for her haunting sound and musical intelligence, is a frequent performer in opera, concert, and recital. She has appeared with Opera Bend, Bravo! Northwest, Cascadia Concert Opera, The Napa Music Festival, The Astoria Music Festival, FAVA Salzburg, and Portland Summerfest. Both singers are members of the Portland Opera Chorus and will be joined by pianist Evan C. Paul in excerpts from Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater.
