The Vancouver Symphony’s new season opens with an All-Tchaikovsky concert featuring three shining voices and a really explosive finish. Maestro Salvador Brotons returns for his 23rd consecutive season as Conductor and Artistic Director for two performances in Skyview Concert Hall. First on the program is Eugene Onegin, the 1879 lyric opera, with vocal soloists Lucas Meachem, Anna Kazakova and Beth Madsen Bradford. A performance of Marche Slave follows, and the concert ends with the iconic 1812 Overture, featuring the ultimate in audience participation.
