All Classical Portland, one of the brightest cultural gems in the Portland metro area, provides unique and innovative music programs produced locally and are available to all throughout the world.
We must do what we can to ensure the growth and continuation of this extraordinary classical music station. Sadly, so many U.S. Cities have lost their classical music radio and we must step up and do what is necessary to ensure that this prized station continues to exist and flourish.
Music is indeed a powerful force in the lives of many and we are so lucky to have classical music available 24-7 at All Classical. I am so happy that my late husband Roger was chairman of the All Classical board when the license was purchased from the Portland Public Schools in 2003. It was very important to Roger that classical music was available to each and every one at the twist of the dial.
It means so much to me that the performance studio in the beautiful new facility which features a live broadcast each week is named the Roger O. Doyle Performance Studio. This is a perfect tribute to someone so compassionate about the value of music for all.
Let’s all continue to love and support this prized station and encourage others to do so. The quote, “Without music, life would be a mistake” (Nietzsche, 1844-1900) will always be relevant.
