Break to Build brings together dancers, aerialists, musicians, mega projections, puppeteers and 2 tons of raw steel instruments to create a one-of-a-kind immersive performance experience at the historic Zidell Shipyards on the South Waterfront in Portland, Oregon. Audiences will move through Zidell Yards to encounter performances spread throughout this piece of Old Portland history. Break to Build is a site-specific installation created by ProLab Dance Director Laura Cannon and acclaimed New Music composer Jennifer Wright with film projections by creative coder Fernanda D’Agostino.
