In Medio presents Seattle-based Byrd Ensemble in a program of music by William Byrd and his contemporaries. The program will open with a performance by In Medio, who will then combine forces with the Byrd Ensemble for a performance of Tallis’s 40-part Spem in alium.

In honor of 400 years since the death of Renaissance composer William Byrd, the program features a new commission by American composer Nico Muhly based on Byrd’s motet Ne irascaris, Domine.
