La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival is returning to the Cultural Arts District in Downtown Hillsboro, Oregon on July 15 and 16, 2023! La Strada is an immersive, open-air art festival featuring large-scale street paintings by professional artists, live performances by local musicians, delicious food and beverages, art vendors and hands-on activities for the whole family. This multi-cultural event in Washington County is unlike any other offered in the Portland Metro region and expects over 40,000 attendees.
This year, 20+ professional artists from around the country will turn Downtown Hillsboro into a wildlife scene with the theme “Creative Critters,” creating massive 10×10 foot chalk drawings of animals like lions, sloths, zebras and snakes. Watch as these ephemeral pieces of public art come to life in real-time over the course of two days. Join in on the fun and create your own mini-masterpiece in the community chalk area.
Local art vendors will line the streets offering unique items and inspirations to attendees. Children of all ages are encouraged to take part in hands-on activities being provided by local nonprofit organizations. The annual summer art festival, being held along E. Main Street between 1st to 4th in Downtown Hillsboro on the 3rd weekend in July, combines community engagement and art appreciation into one FREE fun-filled weekend!
This event is produced by Tualatin Valley Creates and supported by host sponsor City of Hillsboro, title sponsor Washington County Visitors Association, and many other wonderful sponsors dedicated to championing the arts.
