The final concert of the festival will feature acclaimed tenor Martin Bakari in Vaughan Williams’ On Wenlock Edge, an ethereal and melancholy setting of British poet A.E Housman’s cycle of poems A Shropshire Lad. The concert will also include Jean Barrière’s charming Sonata No. 10 in G major for two cellos, Germaine Tailleferre’s soulful Fantaisie, and Felix Mendelssohn’s stormy and passionate String Quartet No. 6 in F minor.
