The Tilikum Chamber Orchestra will present a fall concert featuring diverse works for chamber orchestra, including the passionate and celebratory violin concerto Ba’al Shem by Ernest Bloch, who lived in Lake Oswego for a period of his life. Local violin soloist Comfort Smith will be featured in the soloist role, which journeys through three scenes of Hasidic life.

The TCO will also perform George Walker’s introspective lament for strings, a rarely performed early overture by Bruckner, and the masterwork Symphony #8 by Beethoven. The performance will be on Saturday, October 14th at 7:30pm at Lake Oswego High School Auditorium.
