OREGON REPERTORY SINGERS PRESENT SERGEI RACHMANINOFF’S ALL-NIGHT VIGIL
OREGON REPERTORY SINGERS begins the 50th ANNIVERSARY SEASON with one of “the most beautiful of all works for unaccompanied chorus,” and according to artistic director ETHAN SPERRY, “without SERGEI RACHMANINOFF’S ‘ALL-NIGHT VIGIL,’ many of the wonderful choral works we know and love from the last three decades would not exist.” ALL-NIGHT VIGIL vanished almost completely during the Communist Revolution after its premiere in 1915. Oregon Repertory Singers was amongst the first American choirs to perform the piece after the fall of the Soviet Union in the early 1990’s and the ensemble has performed it four times since. It is the ideal piece to celebrate the beginning of this historic 50th Anniversary Season.

For this season opening weekend at the PATRICIA RESER CENTER FOR THE ARTS in Beaverton, ORS will be joined by tenor soloist BRENDAN TUOHY and bass ERIC ALATORRE—of Chanticleer fame.

SERGEI RACHMANINOFF’S ALL-NIGHT VIGIL will be held at the PATRICIA RESER CENTER FOR THE ARTS on OCTOBER 21 & 22, 2023 at 4 PM.
