Event Details

Project Chamber Music: Willamette Valley makes a triumphant return to Salem’s Elsinore Theatre, celebrating five years of world-class chamber music in Salem, and steadfast support for the Salem-Keizer Public School orchestra programs.

Audience favorite, the Aeolus Quartet will return to the stage, alongside Co-Artistic Directors of Chamber Music Northwest and international sensations Soovin Kim, violin and Gloria Chien, piano. Of the upcoming concert, Project Chamber Music Artistic Director and Salem native Caitlin Lynch shares “When I was little, Chamber Music Northwest presented in Salem the very first professional string quartet concert I ever heard. I was forever changed after that concert – unbelievably inspired by this deeply magical, intimate form of expression that would eventually become not only my profession, but my passion. To have the opportunity, years later, to welcome the Co-Artistic Directors of this storied organization to Salem, to share the stage with them in all their remarkable artistry, and to expose Salem’s next generation of classical musicians to their music-making is an extraordinary honor.”

To date, $16,000 in Project Chamber Music ticket sale proceeds have provided private instrumental lessons for local students for whom the cost would be otherwise prohibitive. As is tradition, 100% of ticket sale proceeds from this concert will be donated for this purpose.

Concert admission for Salem-Keizer Public School students with valid ID is free.
