Third Angle New Music puts mental health front and center in Self Portrait, a program focused on the inner reality of working as a creative professional. The concert mixes solo performances by Sarah Tiedemann, Christopher Whyte, and Searmi Park with artist testimonials from musicians who elaborate on their experiences navigating mental health in their profession. For those who can stick around after, there will also be an opportunity to participate in a communal polka-dot-inspired art project in response to the performance. Audiences can hear Self Portrait at 7:30pm January 26-27 at New Expressive Works, with ASL interpretation on the 27th.
