Is it an absurdist satire, a neovaudevillian farce, a situational comedy, a postmodern musical, or maybe an operetta buffa? How about all of the above! Consider the plot alone: The Carmalites’ lead guitarist finds his world permanently rocked by a band mate’s fatal (and freaky) car accident. Must the show go on? Well, a pilgrimage to the woods leads the guitarist to Elvis — who’s promoting an encore. It’s now or never for this group’s reunion.
