11dec7:30 pmWintersong 2021A Holiday Tradition with Portland's Oldest Choir

Event Details

Join us for Portland Symphonic Choir’s annual tradition, a festive Wintersong concert. Crafted by Artistic Leaders Wendy Bamonte and Alissa Deeter, this year’s program features music of thanksgiving and offers choral reflections on the joy of gathering together again. Catlin Gabel’s choir and local composer Judy A. Rose will join Portland Symphonic Choir on her piece Yemaya Assessu, one of several works on this concert written or arranged by female composers. Wintersong will share the warmth of the holiday season in more ways than one; concertgoers are also invited to bring new adult scarves, hats, gloves, or socks for distribution through the Rose Haven Day Shelter.
Wintersong is our gift to the community this holiday season. Tickets are free to the public (with an optional suggested donation of $25) but must be reserved in advance to attend. Portland Symphonic Choir is a fully-vaccinated choir, and proof of vaccination is required at the door for attendees 12 and older. The audience and singers will be required to wear masks at all times. A live stream of Sunday’s performance will be available for audience members unable to attend in person.
