A Joyful Spring

The Rose City Flute Choir will play a variety of music selections, including classical, American, folk, and original music scored for flute choir. Selections include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 (two movements), Hornpipe Humoresque, Legend of the Birds, Farewell from Haydn’s Symphony No. 45, a medley of American folk songs and more.

The Rose City Flute Choir is a 29-piece flute orchestra comprised of many flutes in the flute family, including piccolos, concert flutes, alto and bass flutes, a contrabass flute and a subcontrabass flute, giving the group a full, rich orchestral sound. The group is directed by Phyllis Louke, a musician, teacher and composer.

The concert runs until 9 p.m. with a brief intermission that includes complimentary beverages and snacks.

Admission at the door: $8 adults, $5 students.
