LOMB: Tempos, Tangos and Tremors
The Lake Oswego Millennium Concert Band opens its 15th season with a program that includes the Slavonic Dances of Dvorák, a movement from contemporary composer Steven Reineke’s First Symphony depicting the 1906 San Francisco earthquake, a set of Glenn Miller tunes, marches by Sousa and Russel Alexander, and the engaging Vientos y Tangos—Winds and Tangos. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the works of local artists available to view against the backdrop of the Millennium Winds performing in the lobby prior to the concert.
