Portland State University School of Music: Cecile Licad Piano Recital and Master Class

Cecile Licad is a New York based internationally renowned Filipino-American pianist performing 19th and early 20th century piano works by American and European composers Mason, Gottschalk, MacDowell, Ornstein, Busoni and Chaminade. “A pianist’s pianist” – The New Yorker

Program includes Edward MacDowell’s Woodland Sketches; Indianisches Tagebuch of Ferruccio Busoni; Cecile Chaminade’s: Sonata in C minor Grand Scherzo, Ballade, La Jota Aragonesa, Manchega, Souvenirs d’Andalousie of Louis M. Gottschalk; William Mason’s Silver Spring and Sonate No. 4 by Leo Ornstein.
