Rice NW Museum of Rocks and Minerals: Mystery Mineral Day
Helen and Richard Rice, founders of the Rice NW Museum, started collecting rocks and minerals with a handful of beach agates in 1938. The Rice NW Museum now contains one of the world’s finest collections of minerals from worldwide localities. See the famous “Alma Rose” rhodochrosite, colorful copper minerals, fluorescent minerals, “out of this world” meteorites, ornate carvings, petrified wood rocks and minerals of the Pacific Northwest, ancient fossils, and much more. Bring your mystery minerals, meteorites, rocks and fossils! Museum personnel will identiry your mysteries!!! Identification is included with museum admission.
