Spring Choral Concert

. The Clark College Women’s Choral Ensemble and the Clark College Chorale perform their Spring Concert. The Women’s Choral Ensemble repertoire for this concert is wide-ranging. Bring Me Little Water, Silvy as arranged by Moira Smiley is a favorite of the ensemble, as is Evening by Ruth Morris Gray with poetry from Emily Dickinson. They will sing the quirky This Morning by Gwyneth Walker, as well as the heartfelt and haunting Night (sung in Russian) by Sergei Rachmaninoff. The Clark College Chorale will sing everything from Mozart to a Hebrew folk tune, and a work by Northwest composer Reginald Unterseher. Titles include Daniel Elder’s rhythmically complex Fresh and Fearless, a stirring adaptation of At The River by Aaron Copland, and an excerpt from Mendelssohn’s Elijah. Please come out and support these two great choirs!

“The highlight of my work is getting to rehearse and teach our amazing choirs at Clark College,” says Director of Choirs Dr. Jacob Funk. “And these rehearsals lead to spectacular performances. The Women’s Choral Ensemble and the Clark College Chorale are getting ready to share some truly wonderful music to close out our year together.”

Admission is free.
