On Deck with Samuel Zacharia

Violist Samuel Zacharia is 15 years old and has already won solo competitions with both the Metropolitan Youth Symphony and the Portland Youth Philharmonic. In this episode of On Deck we’ll hear a portion of his performance of the Bartok Viola Concerto with the PYP last spring.
Samuel has also attended Itzhak Perlman’s Music Program for the last two summers, and he’ll tell us what it’s like to hang out with that legendary musician.
