A collection of aging actors try to save the day – or their careers – in a pair of action films discussed by the team, including Non-Stop, with Liam Neeson, and Three Days to Kill, with Kevin Costner. Another action film on hand is Pompeii, starring Kit Harrington. Marc Mohan focuses on the documentary Afternoon of a Faun and on Like Father, Like Son, while the whole group discusses Burt Lancaster, the recipient of a retrospective featuring 12 of his films, including The Killing (1946), The Crimson Pirate (1952), Sweet Smell of Success (1957), and The Swimmer (1968). Anime specialist Studio Ghibli is also enjoying a retro, and the podcast ends with some Oscar discussion and predictions.
