Benedict Sheehan, an emerging authority on Russian Orthodox singing and music director at St. Tikhon’s Seminary and Monastery in Pennsylvania, makes his Cappella Romana debut with selections from Tchaikovsky’s groundbreaking All-Night Vigil, Op. 52, and his transcendent Nine Sacred Pieces. Performances Saturday, October 21 at 8 pm at St Mary’s Cathedral, 1716 NW Davis St. Portland, and Sunday, October 22 at 2 pm at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 475 SE 3rd Ave, Hillsboro. The Sunday matinée performance at St. Matthew’s is in conjunction with the annual Fall Festival which is open to the public.
