Join the Metropolitan Opera for Verdi’s Don Carlo, produced by David McVicar. Sung in Italian and starring Russell Thomas, one of today’s fastest-rising tenors, in the title role, a Spanish nobleman caught between private passion and public duty. Thomas will share the stage with: sopranos Eleonora Buratto and Angela Meade as Elisabeth de Valois, mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili as Princess Eboli, baritone Peter Mattei as Rodrigo, bass-baritone John Relyea as the Grand Inquisitor, and bass Günther Groissböck as King Philip II. Carlo Rizzi conducts one of the repertory’s most epic works. November 7, 2022 at 7:30 PM.
You’ll get two tickets to HADESTOWN on Broadway. The acclaimed musical is winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. From singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin, the story intertwines two mythic tales — young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on an unforgettable journey to the underworld and back. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, singers and dancers, HADESTOWN invites you to imagine how the world could be. November 8, 2022 at 7:00 PM.
