The Portland Rose Festival is back! The 2022 festivities will kick off with a FREE concert by the Oregon Symphony on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 6:00 PM PT.
JUST ANNOUNCED: The concert will now take place at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Admission is FREE and open to all ages.
The citywide celebration features Associate Conductor Norman Huynh leading the Oregon Symphony in performing a range of songs from John Williams and other popular orchestral pieces. Enjoy an entertaining lineup that spotlights Portland’s unique and diverse artists and community partners. The concert will also feature the world premiere of From One Rose, an original song written by Rose Festival Board Member Ron Carr and arranged by Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated composer Bruce Broughton.
The Rose Festival is honored to support this free gift to the City of Portland with this very special concert to kick-off the Rose City Reunion, with the Oregon Symphony and Bank of America. All Classical Portland is proud to be a sponsor of the Rose City Reunion Concert.
The Portland Rose Festival has inspired the public to gather and celebrate against a backdrop of historic external forces for 115 years. The Rose Festival will return in a big way in 2022 for the Rose City Reunion, demonstrating how our community can carry on traditions, honor diversity and celebrate unity. This means a return of Rose Festival’s big outdoor events like the Grand Floral Parade, Starlight Parade, Junior Parade, CityFair and Fleet Week, and a continuation of the Rose Festival Court and Queen’s Coronation. We welcome Portlanders and visitors alike to celebrate our floral heritage and community spirit.
