June is LGBTQI+ Pride Month! All Classical Portland wishes a happy and healthy Pride to all of our friends in the community.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) Pride Month is celebrated each year in commemoration of the June 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan–a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.
To commemorate the month, All Classical Portland is shining an extra special spotlight on the lives and works LGBTQI+ community members, and many of the invaluable contributions they have made to classical music.
ON AIR – Throughout the month, All Classical Portland’s programming will include works written and performed by LGBTQI+ musicians.
