Honed from decades of performances from Carnegie Hall to Wigmore Hall to The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, classical guitarist Scott Kritzer, carries the musical legacy of the great Andres Segovia.
Kritzer engages his audiences with a wonderful mix of relevant dialogue, lifting meaning from the music, while taking audiences on a shared musical journey.
In this program he’ll be performing works by Scarlatti, Cimarosa, Weiss, and the musical eulogy Omaggio pour Debussy by Manuel de Falla. Also included are a set of uplifting Indonesian-inspired works by Portland born composer Lou Harrison as well as a landmark work that takes on all the riot and color of the wave of 20th century British guitar music that was inspired by the great guitarist Julian Bream in the The Five Bagatelles for Guitar by William Walton.
