Update from Suzanne Nance: Tuesday February 16, 2021

As a result of the ice storms in the area, All Classical Portland has experienced disruptions for the last several days to our FM/HD service and the online stream.

Our dedicated team of engineers has been working tirelessly around the clock, and we are thrilled to share that the online stream has been restored! You can once again listen online from anywhere in the world at allclassical.org.

What happened
When our building lost power at 3am Monday morning and the back-up generator failed, All Classical Portland’s engineers jumped into action. We are now operating on the generator which must be refueled routinely. This is a temporary measure until full power has been restored. During this time, our internet connection was also affected, and is now operating at 10%. Station staff is working remotely with limited access to internet and power, in order to conserve fuel and connectivity for the most important use: bringing you the music you love!

What’s next
Service disruptions are being resolved as swiftly as possible, and with the online stream restored, you can again listen to All Classical Portland at allclassical.org or on your smart speaker. You can also listen to our local programs, including the recent Lovefest Radio Concert, on-demand through the Audio Archive. There may be disruptions on our FM and HD signals this week, and we will continue to work day and night, and keep you updated on our website and social media.

Thank you for your patience as we continue this critical work to restore all service, and thank you for your generous support of All Classical Portland. We sincerely hope that those impacted by the storms remain safe, and that power is fully restored to our entire community quickly.

With gratitude,

Suzanne Nance
