The Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education
May is Jewish American Heritage Month, and though the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education (OJMCHE) is physically closed, they have a a vibrant virtual program schedule. Located in Portland, the OJMCHE has online offerings allowing viewers across the globe to take part in a virtual tour of the Oregon Holocaust Memorial in Portland’s Washington Park (pictured, left). The museum is the steward of the Memorial. You can also explore the online exhibition Good Trouble, as well as extensive oral histories, all available online.
The Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education explores the legacy of the Jewish experience in Oregon, teaches the universal lessons of the Holocaust, and provides opportunities for intercultural conversation.
