On this week’s encore presentation of Thursday’s @ Three, Christa Wessel welcomes back Adam Eccleston — flutist and All Classical Portland’s 2020-2021 Artist-In-Residence.  Adam’s performance is inspired by the life of Richie Havens, the folk singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the opener of Woodstock in 1967.

As your virtual concert hall, All Classical Portland will continue to offer our Thursdays @ Three weekly concert to listeners around the world.

About the Artist:

Originally from New York City, Adam Eccleston moved to Germany with his family at the age of nine. There he studied with Eric lamb, co-principal flutist of The International Contemporary Ensemble and Thaddeus Watson, piccolo player of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra at the Frankfurt Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst.

A devoted humanitarian and firm supporter of arts education, Mr. Eccleston has worked extensively with MESDA group, a non-profit organization that offers a wide variety of educational support through music to under developed countries around Central and South America and the Caribbean Islands.  Currently, he is the Program Director for BRAVO Youth Orchestras, which is an after school music program that serves over 150 students in 6 schools.
