The University of Portland’s Department of Performing & Fine Arts presents Tartuffe, one of the most famous theatrical comedies by Molière. In this production directed by Gregory Pulver, it’s 1956, and “Our Dorine” is the funniest comedy show on TV.  Dorine is the family maid who gets the Millers out of some pretty tight spots. This week, the family fears that dear old Dad has been blindsided by fake news and invited a con artist into their home. Now it’s up to Dorine to expose Tartuffe! Performances take place April 13 – 21 at the Mago Hunt Theater. Order tickets by emailing magohuntboxoffice@up.edu or by calling the Mago Hunt Theater Box Office at: 503.943.7287. Before the performances on April 14 and 21 only, ticket holders are invited to enjoy a complimentary wine and cheese reception as campus experts highlight intriguing themes and production details, courtesy of the Garaventa Center. The reception takes place at 6:15pm and the panel discussion at 6:45pm, both in the Mago Hunt Theater.
