The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s Music Director and Conductor Dr. Salvador Brotons has been awarded the Clark County Arts Commission’s Lifetime Achievement Award for 2020.
The VSO announced the award on September 20 during a historic virtual gala event. The gala celebrated Brotons’ 30th year leading the VSO; honoring his remarkable legacy in arts and music in the region from 1990 to today. In the award announcement, the Clark County Arts Commission stated, “For 30 years Maestro Salvador Brotons has been a gift to our community, offering generously his knowledge, passion, leadership and consummate artistry as a musician, composer, and conductor of our Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. With his vibrant presence, he has enriched, energized, and inspired many with music that spans time and cultures.”
This award reflects Maestro Brotons’ dedication to the arts community in Clark County and his many years leading the VSO.
