Ken Selden leads the PSU Symphony Orchestra and Choir, Man Choir, and Vox Femina in a performance of Beethoven's final symphony at First Methodist Church, 1838 S.W. Jefferson, at 8 p.m. on Feb. 24. In their next concert, Choral Arts Ensemble of Portland explores the themes of peace and love through the songs of 20th century American choral composers, including Randall Thompson. These composers drew inspiration from a variety of secular and sacred sources, including iconic paintings of American folk painter Edward Hicks. Performances Feb. 25 & 26.
