PDX Dancers Ad Hoc: Traces, October 21 & 22


Dancers Sada Naegelin and Mark Koenigsberg are long time members of Portland’s modern dance community. This intimate duet is based upon a simple idea: two people in relationship to one another moving together in space.Long-time Oregon Symphony violist Steve Price accompanies. Two 7:30 p.m. performances, October 21 and 22.

Portland Wind Symphony Season Opener


Musical Director Dr. Chris Chapman leads the ensemble of forty wind musicians in a program that includes the La Forza Del Destino Overture by Verdi, Moving Parts by David Sampson, Sousa’s Washington Post March, Weekend in New York by Philip Sparke, a clarinet ensemble highlight, and more.

Salem Philharmonia Orchestra in Concert


The orchestra launches its sixth season with a program featuring Sibelius’ Finlandia; the Spanish-inspired Cello Concerto in d minor by Lalo, with principal cello Katherine Parks as soloist; and Beethoven’s Fourth Symphony.
