Charles Dickens’ classic tale follows Toby Veck, a London porter who stands day-after-day beneath the bell tower, listening to the chimes. When the hardships of life and the state of the world begin to drive Toby towards despair, the magical chimes take him on a journey into the future, reviving his hope and renewing his joy. For any struggling to find hope in this season, The Chimes is an honest, moving, and lively celebration of the hope of Christmas.

“The Chimes” is adapted for the stage and performed by actor Ben Tissell (described by Oregon ArtsWatch as “mesmerizing” and “electric”) and runs approximately 70 minutes with no intermission.
