Oregon Origins Project presents a one-of-a-kind gathering of artists and culture bearers of Oregon’s south-central coastal tribes. Sculptor, carver, and educator Shirod Younker, Coquille, miluk (Coos), Umpqua, will emcee the event. Presenters include: Jesse Beers, quuiich (Lower Umpqua), sha’yuushtɬ’a (Siuslaw), cultural stewardship manager; Enna Helms, miluk (Coos), language teacher, regalia and basket maker; and Ayuthea LaPier, hanis (Coos), Blackfeet, Tlingit, Métis, beadworker, basketmaker, and cultural burning practitioner.
